Testing image-based surgical navigation technologies; workflow integration; visualization and tool tracking
The Guided Therapeutics Program focuses on high-precision image-guided interventions, including surgery, radiotherapy and cell-based therapies. The guided therapeutics operating room (GTxOR) is a state-of-the-art facility for testing and refining devices for surgical guidance. The environment—equipment as well as surgical and engineering leaders—is ideally set up to evaluate novel technologies and to help adapt the workflow and human factors considerations as needed to integrate with existing technology platforms and make implementing new devices into clinical practice a success.
Translation of advanced imaging and guidance technologies, engineering, quality assurance, workflow, preclinical model testing, cone-beam CT imaging, CT imaging, MRI, ultrasound, optical fluorescence, high-intensity focused ultrasound, deformable image registration
