Research aimed at improving the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of kidney stone disease.
The Stone Centre at Vancouver General Hospital is a remarkable facility dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of kidney stone disease. The significance of this research centre is exciting. Worldwide, there are few such facilities and this is the first dedicated to kidney stone disease in Canada. The Centre places basic science researchers and clinicians side-by-side, a unique feature that facilitates the immediate translation of laboratory results.
