The Smart Connected Vehicles Innovation Centre (SCVIC) develops digital solutions to acquire sensory data collected from a connected and autonomous vehicle test bed in the laboratory and a network of connected vehicles moving around the city, and introduce artificial intelligence (AI) methodologies to analyze the sensory data in real time on a backend compute cluster.
A cost-effective experimentation and testing centre including collaboration-oriented space, the SCVIC serves as a catalyst and nucleus for connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) innovation and tech development.
The SCVIC combines innovative infrastructure with access to support and partnerships to accelerate research and commercialize intellectual property efficiently from a secure space.
The 4,000 square-foot centre features an indoor experimental autonomous vehicle (CAV) test bed with state-of-the-art computing infrastructure supporting CAV technologies such as wireless networks, IoT, mobile computing, cybersecurity, AI, signal processing, machine/deep learning for mobile systems, and cloud and fog systems, as well as a variety of drones, ground robots and self-driving car prototypes.
