Field measurements for atmospheric chemistry, including greenhouse gases and air quality pollutants.
This research facility offers a suite of cutting-edge analytical instrumentation, tested and optimized to ensure the sensitivity, selectivity and robustness required to make reliable measurements in ambient environments. While these instruments are commercially available, each are among fewer than 10 in the world with comparable specifications, and each has required significant characterization and optimization. Using the instrumentation, we gain insight into the behavior of pollutants like ammonia, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter, with implications for climate change and air quality.
