The EEG and Neuroimaging Laboratory is dedicated to exploring the fascinating intricacies of the human brain. The lab’s primary focus areas include investigating hand dominance, brain plasticity, and brain imaging techniques, to unravel complex problems of the neurobiology of the brain and the central nervous system (CNS) relating to normal movement and movement related disorders.
Electroencephalography (EEG) is at the forefront of the facility’s research. With state-of-the-art EEG equipment, and a team of talented multidisciplinary researchers, the facility can capture and analyze the intricate patterns of neural oscillations, providing valuable insights into brain function and cognition. Researchers at the lab use electrophysiological and imaging modalities such as electroencephalography technology, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and imaging modalities also examining hand dominance, brain plasticity, and brain imaging in normal and abnormal states.
The EEG and Neuroimaging Laboratory researches and examines complex problems pertaining to the neurobiology of the brain, particularly movement and movement related disorders. Utilizing leading-edge equipment and technology, the lab employs data analysis and practical experimentation efforts to provide increased understanding of brain function and cognition.
