Lin Brain Lab

The Lin Brain Lab focuses on the development and application of human neuroimaging and neuromodulation methods and the translation of these cutting-edge tools to neuroscience studies and clinical applications.

This lab is comprised of specialized labs, including the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) laboratory and the Electroencephalography (EEG) Laboratory.

The Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) laboratory provides service for non-invasive stimulation and modulation of neuronal activity in the human brain. The TMS system can be triggered by electronic device to synchronize with external sensory stimulation. The lab is specialized in planning TMS and collecting data as well as analyzing behavior and neuronal responses.

The Electroencephalography (EEG) laboratory provides service for measuring the neuronal activity of the human brain. The EEG system can be temporally synchronized to external events, including the onset of sensory stimuli, in evoked neuronal response measurement. EEG measurement can also be taken continuously without explicit timing stamps to characterize the brain response over a period of time. The lab specializes in measuring and analyzing EEG signals, including characterizing their timing, oscillatory features, and locations of the clustered neuronal activity.
