Development and application of new mass spectrometric methods for proteomic analysis, especially of vaccines and biotherapeutic proteins including biosimilar products
The laboratory’s area of expertise is in the development and application of mass spectrometric methods to identify and characterize peptides and proteins in complex matrices especially: vaccines, stem cells, exosomes and therapeutic biologics. Employing a range of instruments, including tandem mass spectrometers, nano-ultra high pressure liquid chromatographs and cell sorters, the laboratory is also involved in the comparative proteomic analysis of complex biological materials from cells and tissues.
Comparative proteome analysis of mixtures of proteins from cell culture or tissue as well as mass spectral analysis of less complex materials such as recombinant proteins and vaccines. The bioinformatics analysis using numerous software suites is part of the analytical process.
